It is suitable for processes involving low‑viscosity liquids, such as mixing, dispersion, dissolution, solids suspension, crystallization, heat transfer and liquid‑phase reactions, and has also been used in some gas absorption processes. It is commonly supplied with a left‑hand pitch, but can also be manufactured as right‑hand.
